Bryological and Lichenological Section/ABLS Shustov, Mikhail V. [1]. The tropical genesis nemoral lichens in the Privolzhskaya upland lichen flora. We assume that among the tropical genesis nemoral lichens in the Privolzhskaya upland flora the oldest relicts which were components of the moderate heat abscised-leaf forests during the early and middle Miocene are Flavoparmelia soredians (Nyl.) Hale, Heterodermia speciosa (Wulfen) Trevis., Melanelia exasperata (Nyl.) Essl., Phaeophyscia endococcina (Körb) Moberg, and some others. It is important that the discoveries of the above mentioned species are of principal concern for understanding flora genesis processes in this region and, generally, for the Eastern Europe plain. Up till now the matter of preserving the Tertiary flora and vegetation on the Privolzhskaya upland has been discussed to a certain extent. But the growing of various in the geographical and flora genesis aspect of Tertiary relicts group in the investigated region has proved that floragenesis processes on the Privolzhskaya upland were not interrupted during the Quaternary glaciers as the upland territory was one of the refuges during the Dneprovsky glacier.
