Conference Wide Cohen, Jim [1], Schwendemann, Andrew B. [2], Soltis, Pamela S. [3]. Job Panel Discussion. Are you a graduate student or post-doc about to enter the job market? How do you start to look for jobs? What are search committees looking for? How do job responsibilities differ among large universities, smaller colleges, botanical gardens, and governmental agencies? If you have been wondering about these questions, then come and find answers at the job panel discussion. Panelists will represent faculty at various stages of their careers from a variety of institutions. This discussion will allow attendees to better understand the job market, how to approach their own job searches, and how faculty members and other professional botanists spend a typical day.
