Botany & Mycology Special Events

The following society and group events require tickets. Tickets may be purchased in advance or on-site at the Registration area. Pre-paid event tickets will be included in the Registration packet, which will be distributed on-site. Please read the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Event venues will be announced on the tickets and in the Program.

A limited number of tickets may be available for purchase at the Registration Desk on-site at the meeting, but availability is not guaranteed


TE-A ABLS Breakfast
Come one, come all!! The ABLS breakfast is one of our major social events, so please attend and support your society's functions. This Monday morning event will be your first opportunity to see who is at the meetings and to make contacts with old friends and colleagues. 7:00 am to 8:30 am - $20.00

TE-01 Cornell Botanists and Friends Breakfast
The Cornell University Botany breakfast is open to all current and former students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends, who have had a connection to botany at Cornell. Please join us, renew old friendships, make new friends, and catch up with your colleagues activities. 7:00 am to 8:00 am $20.00

TE-02 American Fern Society Luncheon
The AFS Luncheon will be followed by the annual business meeting. Come join us and hear about the many activities sponsored by the American Fern Society.12:00 pm to 1:30 pm $30.00

TE-03 Student Involvement in Botany Luncheon
Gather with new and old friends for lunch and networking and learn how you can support Botany and what Botany can do for you!12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Student Price: $5.00

TE-04 Paleobotanical Section Banquet
Come join us for spirited discussions of the new and old at the Paleobotanical Section's annual banquet. 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm $50.00

TE-05 Bar-B-Que and Botany
Be prepared to have fun….food and music by Hearts Gone Wild ….in the mountain air! Barbeque Dinner Buffet 7:00 - 8:00 - Dancing and music until 10:00 $30.00

TE-06 Kaplan Memorial Scholarship fund Dinner
This new event will follow the Developmental and Structural Society mixer but is open to all meeting attendees. A portion of the ticket sales will be contributed to the Kaplan Memorial Lecture Fund established in 2008. 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm - $45.00


TE-07 Missouri Botanical Garden
Breakfast All alumni, friends, and colleagues of the Missouri Botanical Garden are cordially invited to attend the annual MOBOT breakfast. Catch up on activities at the Garden, meet old friends and make new ones, and enjoy a great breakfast before you start your meeting day. 7:00 am to 8:00 am $20.00

TE-08 Economic Botany Luncheon
BSA Economic Botany section members and others are invited to have lunch and hear news of the Section 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - $30.00

TE-09 Women in Science Luncheon

Dinner, awards and presentation by incoming ASPT President Warren Wagner.

TE-11 Miami University of Ohio Breakfast
The Miami University Botany breakfast is open to any who have had some connection to the department, including students, alumni, faculty and staff, former faculty and staff, as well as friends of the department. TE-12 MSA Breakfast/Business Meeting
Gather with fellow MSA members and others for breakfast and awards and annual business meeting. To be followed by the MSA Bueller Lecture 7:00 am to 10:00 am $20.00

TE-13 All Society Banquet and Auction
